Congratulations! You all made it to the end of the semester! Still have some projects to finish? The last day of Spring Open Hours for the FabLab will be Thursday, May 14th. Check out slide 2 for details on our Summer Hours!

Naomi is graduating with a degree in Computer Engineering and a minor in Linguistics! Her favorite Fab Lab space is the screenprinting area, where you can print custom designs onto shirts, bags, and other fabrics. Her fondest memory at the Fab Lab is being able to yap about anything with her coworkers, and she wants to pursue work in embedded engineering, animation, leatherworking, and ECE after graduation. Her proudest project was designing and assembling a cellphone for class last semester – a dream project since high school!

Congratulations to our Director Dr. Kyungwon Koh for her new role in the iSchool as the Interim Associate Dean for Community, Culture, and Engagement. Dr. Koh served as Director of the CU Community Fab Lab since 2021. Under Dr. Koh's leadership the Fab Lab’s capacity grew, our community offerings improved, our research in makerspace learning and accessibility increased, and she has elevated our profile in the context of the University. Now that she has moved into this new role, she will be missed here at the Lab, but we look forward to continuing to work with her! Congratulations Dr. Koh and good luck from the crew at the Fab Lab!

We had the pleasure of hosting 4H at the lab, teaching students how to 3D print and laser cut/engrave to make their own personalized name tags!
