Happy Illini Friday!🧡💙 This week we're featuring Caroline Burns. Caroline is currently a sophomore majoring in advertising. When she's not studying, she is the co-president Midnight Oil - a student run full service ad agency in the American Advertising Federation. Fun fact: Caroline traveled to 3 national parks during spring break.

Her favorite things about the Illini Union are seeing her brother perform at Friday Funnies, and Just Bee Acaí!👏😌

During April-May, we are going to feature some of our campus friends' favorite books - called Bookstore Friends series! All of these titles are available for purchase at the Illini Union Bookstore. The first selection is from former Illini Union staffer, Dementro Powell, (), now the Director of Community Development and Engagement at . He is a big Stephen King fan and two of his all-time favorites
- "Storm of the Century"
- "Needful Things".
He is also currently in a PhD program and is reading "A History of American Higher Education."

We are currently recruiting adults for our upcoming study here at the EPL lab! We are looking for adults between the ages of 55-79 for an exercise study consisting of yoga, aerobics, and stretching group classes. The purpose is to examine how exercise affects brain health.

Alumni Spotlight: Danielle Gordon ’18 currently works as a Merchandise Analyst at Kohl's. During her time at , she worked as a Social Media Editor for the Illini Union Marketing Department. Her favorite memory was bringing her idea to life: creating a Snapchat account for the Illini Union that went from 0 followers to hundreds! This impressive responsibility allowed her to become a “voice” of the Illini Union on social media and she was able to reach out to thousands of students and alumni via this account. She feels that her position encouraged her creativity and helped develop collaboration, time-management, and a variety of office skills outside of the Illini Union. Additionally, she felt supported throughout her time and this confidence allowed to her to share her ideas with broader teams and learning how to target customer audiences.
