This Wednesday, September 16 at 2pm, come test your Constitution knowledge with Constitution Day Jeopardy! The game includes questions about the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights, amendments, landmark court cases, and the Illinois Constitution.

Come stop by and check out The Caring Classroom: A Not So Perfect Start by Trudy Ludwig, illustrated by Maribel Lechuga. This book is about a young girl named Thea and her first days of school. She wants everything to be perfect, but she eventually learns that it is okay to make mistakes and that sometimes those mistakes might even lead to a good idea.

Whenever a book is adapted to film, everyone wonders the same thing: Which is better? You can answer this question yourself by reading the books and watching the movies presented in this month's S-Collection blog. Starting this Wednesday, September 2, and lasting until the end of the month, SSHEL is hosting an exhibit for the Youth Literature Festival, featuring youth literature authors and their books.

This week in SSHEL: Come stop by and check out Sing the 50 United States!, a newly published, recently discovered book by Dr. Seuss, illustrated by Tom Brannon. Easy to read with helpful illustrations, the book is very helpful for learning about the different states in the country.
