Today is the first of June, which marks the beginning of LGBTQ+ Pride Month! To celebrate and honor LGBTQ+ history and present, we have compiled a few from the pool of many LGBTQ+ people in STEM who have made significant contributions to their field and the world as a whole.

Heads up! Grainger Library will be closed on Monday, May 25th, in honor of Memorial Day. The library will reopen on Tuesday, May 26th, at 8 AM!

It's graduation time! A big congratulations to our PGAs and staff earning their MSLIS! Way to go Grainger Rangers! 🥳🎉

Summer is here! ☀️ 🌊 🏖️
Since there aren't as many finals to be studied for, our hours will be changing.

From May 18th to August 7th Grainger Library will be open:
Sunday: 1-8pm
Monday - Thursday: 8am-midnight
Friday: 8am-5pm
Saturday: 1-8pm

The only exceptions to this are May 25th, June 19th, July 3rd, and July 4th.

The IDEA Lab will close at 4pm on May 15th and reopen on August 24th.

We will be open throughout the graduation weekend festivities this year! Despite this being a celebratory time, we ask that everyone continue to be mindful of our quiet floors and other library patrons. Happy graduation week and congratulations to all those graduating! 🎓️ ✨

Our grad weekend hours are :
Friday: Midnight-6pm
Saturday: 9-5pm
Sunday: 9-5pm.

Our summer hours will begin on Monday, May 18.

Grainger Library is hiring for a third-shift, full-time Library Specialist position. The working hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 12am to 8am.

Need a break from studying? Come join the Grainger Library on Reading Day, May 7, for some rest and relaxation with De-Stress Fest! Grainger Library will be hosting five fun-filled workshops, perfect for taking your mind off those long study sessions!

The IDEA Lab, located on the lower level, will also have ongoing activites and supplies to refuel those hardworking brain cells while supplies last!

VR Club at UIUC and the Creative Writing Club invite you to a collaboration meeting on "Exploring Immersive Storytelling Through VR Technology" at the Grainger Library IDEA Lab on Friday, May 1 from 6-8 PM!
