The English Student Council was created as an organization to help promote camaraderie and inclusiveness among students in the Department of English at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Created in 2010, ESC has grown year after year and currently has over 50 active members. ESC hosts various events throughout the year ranging from academic type events to social activities for students to get to know more people in the department.

Are you ready for all things spooky? Join us tonight at 107 S Wright St for our Spooky Poetry Open Mic! Bring your favorite dark and creepy poems or short stories, your own original work or your favorite author’s. Can't wait to see everyone there! 🎃

There is a poetry reading tomorrow at 3pm in EB 160! Students from ENGL 280 will be reading a selection of poetry from female authors - a brief reception will follow.
As part of an upcoming project, we'll be interviewing our academic advisor Anna Ivy soon! Comment or send us any questions you would like her to answer!
