Ashley is studying Nutrition and Health at the College of ACES with a minor in Public Health. On campus, Ashley serves as a Nutrition Peer Educator at the McKinley Health Center, trip coordinator for Global Medical Training, community service chair for Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences, ambassador for the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition, and actively participates in local volunteering efforts. Upon graduation, Ashley plans to attend medical school and apply her nutrition expertise to advance medicine.

MANRRS-UIUC travelled to Moline,IL to learn about the amazing opportunities ! Our students spent their evening networking with John Deere staff, and exploring the John Deere tractors and equipment! 🚜

Last night, our students were also able to reconnect with our MANRR-UIUC alumni, Jarvis Williams 💚💛

Last Friday she graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine🎊👩🏾‍⚕️🎉.

Lisa received her B.S in Animal Science from the College of ACES in 2020 and is an alumni from MANRRS-UIUC. 🧡💙

Congratulations, Vitaly and Esmeralda!🥳 Yesterday, these two outstanding members attended the Animal Sciences Award Banquet. Esmeralda was awarded the Outstanding Senior Award! and Vitaly was awarded the Janet R. Jackson and Mark A. Roos Scholarship!

Over the weekend, our students joined on the Illinois Lights Out event💡The goal of this event was to reduce the amount of energy used on campus by going around campus and turning off the lights of buildings. We can’t wait to continue contributing to the positive effects of sustainability.💡

Good Afternoon, MANRRS! We want to thank everyone who attended our last GA meeting of the semester yesterday. We had much fun learning about everything revolving around horticulture🪴and creating our little plants🪴to take home.

We had a fantastic year with you all and can’t wait to do it again in the 2024-2025 school year!☺️

Zachary Gonzalez, ACE freshman studying agribusiness markets and management, attended the 38th Annual MANRRS Conference in Chicago last month🌆

The National Society for Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS) is a student organization that promotes leadership development, enhances academic skills, facilitates networking, and fosters diversity in the food, agricultural, and related sciences🙌
