Upper Sandusky FFA

The state soils CDE was held down near Chillicothe today. Our urban and ag teams competed and we are waiting for the results, which will hopefully be out Monday. It was a tough contest with sandy soils, a half flooded pit, and glacial terraces. Fingers crossed!

Wyandot County Greenhand Camp Day 2, with more pics from Day 1 as well! Finished up Greenhand Camp learning about social presence, goal setting, and CDE options along with writing a letter to the future self. Excited to see what these Greenhands will accomplish as FFA members!

Wyandot County Greenhand Camp Day 1! FFA Greenhands participated in challenge games, tye-dyed shirts, learned archery, worked with past state officer Malainy Boes on leadership, acted out the FFA Creed, learned about official dress, and enjoyed reflections and s’mores to finish the evening!

CONGRATULATIONS to our soil teams! Both the urban team and the ag team placed 1st in the district at our contest yesterday! We head to state on October 10. The urban team is Jessa Johnson, Kiarie Williams, Abi Gottfried, Madison Wengerd, and Abby Vicars. The ag team is Will Tucker, Adalee Wagner, Garrett Justinger, and Eli Smith.

Congratulations to our Forestry team for placing 8th in the state on Saturday at Hocking College! James Drake was 12th overall. His teammates were Kiarie Williams, Will Tucker, and Irene Kreais.

Thursday was the Wyandot County Soils Contest and Upper Sandusky FFA Soils Invitational! Thanks to the Wyandot SWCD we had a great contest. Carey won the ag contest, Upper Sandusky won the urban contest. Will Tucker from Upper won the ag contest as an individual and Abi Gottfried from Upper won the urban contest as an individual. At the invitational we had 236 students from 15 schools compete with East Clinton and New Riegel winning the invitational. We had a lot of papers to grade! Good luck to everyone at districts!
