Looking forward to a great school year! Just finished up our officer retreat, set some great goals for the year, worked on leadership, teamwork, and communication, planned some new activities, and visited with the Penta - Oak Harbor FFA Chapter! Our theme this year is SUCCESS is achieved TOGETHER!

As an FFA member showing livestock, you only need to do skillathon if you want to. Your SAE visit and record book check is all you need. Make sure you’ve purchased a fair pass though!

For those of you interested in our FFA history, here are the pages from the 1937 yearbook when the Upper Sandusky FFA began. Also pictured is our actual charter from the state to be an FFA chapter. I would love to have the charters from Marseilles, Salem, and Harpster!

Does anyone know who the Upper Sandusky FFA presidents were for the following school years…
1984-1985
1983-1984
1960-1961
1959-1960
All years from 1937-1941!

Thank you! I am also wanting to look through school yearbooks from Harpster prior to 1939 and Marseilles prior to 1937 if anyone has access to any! I’m working on filling in the missing pieces of the Upper Sandusky FFA history!

Any help with the FFA presidents from Harpster, Marseilles, and Salem prior to consolidation with Upper Sandusky would be appreciated as well! Pictured is what I have gathered from the yearbooks in the library! Feel free to message or email [email protected]

Colorado Trip Day 6:
Headed back to Denver today to catch our flight back to Ohio tomorrow. We did stop in Idaho Springs to tour the Argo Mine and eat at Beau Jo’s Pizza. We also stopped at Spyderco in Golden and at the CSU Spur in Denver. CSU Spur is a branch of Colorado State. We were given a tour of their Vida Building (where we saw a dog getting sewn up and equine therapy) as well as the Terra Building (where we saw a food science lab, visited the hydroponics greenhouse, and toured the rooftop garden). It’s been an awesome week!

Colorado Trip Day 4:
To the top of the world we went today! We started the day at Kuner Feedlot, part of Five Rivers. They are the largest cattle feeder in the world when their 13 locations are combined with the capacity to feed almost 1 million head. The Kuner Feedlot has a 100,000 head capacity. We then headed to Estes Park and took a Jeep ride up Trail Ridge Road. We saw elk, moose, mule deer, marmots, and chipmunks! We crossed over the continental divide and are staying at the YMCA of the Rockies.

We are officially on the Front Range and will be in the mountains tomorrow!

Colorado Trip Day 2:
A busy day today with a visit to the Kit Carson County Airport to hear about aviation and agriculture, then to Stratton Coop to learn about grain marketing, then on to Wudtke Ranch to process calves, and finally to Hale Hall for dinner and dancing lessons! It was an amazing day!
