I have to tell you, I have been sitting here starting to work on the next reunion powerpoint and its crazy the things I notice these days and how many memories come flooding back. Please,, even if you have never attended a single reunion, make a point to do so before the opportunity has passed in your life. It's still almost two years away and I already am looking forward to it. (No, there is no date on the board yet...just thinking ahead... hehe!

Some of the class of 82 in our kindergarten picture! Mrs. Betty Stein was our teacher and she passed away yesterday just a few days shy of her 99th birthday! 🙏🏻💕

I have some pics from the 40th, but please, if you have any, I would love to have them for the presentation at the 45th. Email them to [email protected] and I will save them for future use. I am the first to admit that I am horrible about taking pictures at events, but I sure do enjoy making them available to all of you. Last but not least, because this was not a conventional reunion, I need to throw some "Thank you's" around... Joe and Denise Clark, Linette and especially Jodi, who is the glue that keeps this thing going on every five years, Sue and Erma... and I'm certain I am forgetting someone... Here's the really big thank you for the Party in the Pasture... Thank you Jon Barnes for letting us have a great time in your valley reconnecting and just having fun. In some ways, it reminded me of some of our days as kids!! If I have missed someone, please know that your effort is appreciated. I often try to explain our reunions to people and no one seems to understand that it's important to remember who we are, who we grew up with and the impact Upper Sandusky and the people there have had on our lives. I am already looking forward to the 45th!! - Griff

OK. I whined about not having pictures from the 30th to put into the powerpoint, but the day of the reunion, Joe and Margie Shumaker showed up with a bunch of pictures from the 30th..... So, next time around, i promise I will utilize them and get them in the show. :) I also had my wife take a bunch of pictures during the 35th and I have been able to copy a bunch more from FaceBook... I have a way to share the 35th now in the powerpoint too.

I have to tell you all, that I honestly think that may have been the best reunion yet, not that I have personally ever had a bad time at a class reunion. I don't quite know yet how to verbalize the genuine feeling of friendship and just closeness among those of us who graduated in 1982... I don't want to be all mushy about it, but I really could feel the care for each other across the board. We have all made our own choices as to where life will take us, but I left that evening just terribly proud to claim that I was part of the USHS class of '82. Thank you to everyone who came, and for those of you who couldn't make it, I only hope you have the opportunity in the summer of 2022, for our 40th. It really is something special to be a part of Upper and a part of this class.

Sorry to report that we lost another classmate. Lori Wilson Cassady was killed in a motorcycle accident last week. Details to follow. Please keep her family in your prayers. 🙏🏻
