As September approaches we are all busy making beautiful new works for the children! Children love color sorting. In this simple sensorial work the children distinguish between two similar colors and begin to understand color order. The flowers were made by wet-felting but this kind of work can easily be replicated at home by sorting popsicle sticks, pom-poms or other colorful objects found at home!

Our Montessori and Reggio Emilia inspired nursery school program .nest.nyack still has a few places for September! We have small class sizes and focus on nurturing the individual child’s interests and needs. We go outside every day rain or shine and we offer processed based art projects each week. We also provide snack and invite the children to participate in snack preparation or baking each day. Our hours are 8:45-11:40.

At Little Nest not only do we hope to offer enriching experiences for the children each day but to also offer opportunities to co-create community with our lovely families!

We are so excited to share that we will be offering a parent & child class for new parents and their babies (birth-pre-crawling)!

The class is facilitated by a Montessori certified (birth-3y) and RIE trained teacher. Within the class we will offer support on topics such as sleep, feeding, infant development, attachment, new family dynamics, from a Montessori / RIE perspective. Above all, we will co-create a community of loving support to all who need it!
