📚 We’re moving right along with our ABCs of Black History!
Today’s spotlight: J is for Jesse Jackson — a leader who helped expand opportunities through activism, public service, and community empowerment.
From working alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to founding the Rainbow PUSH Coalition — an organization focused on promoting equal rights, education, and economic empowerment — running for president twice, his journey shows the many ways individuals can create change.

This series is all about learning something new together — we encourage families to talk about today’s feature and explore the impact of leaders throughout history.
Stay tuned as we continue our ABC journey! ❤️💛

Today we honor the life and legacy of Reverend Jesse Jackson — a tireless advocate for justice, education, and opportunity for all.
Rev. Jackson dedicated his life to uplifting communities, encouraging young people to believe in their worth, and reminding us to “Keep Hope Alive.” His work serves as a powerful example of leadership, service, and perseverance — values we strive to instill in our students every day.
As a school community, we take a moment to reflect on his contributions and the importance of teaching our children about courage, compassion, and standing up for what is right. May his legacy inspire us to continue building inclusive, supportive spaces where every child can thrive.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Jackson family and friends. 🙏🏾❤️💛

Continuing our ABCs of Black History 📚 🍎
H is for Harriet Tubman – the fearless conductor of the Underground Railroad whose courage helped countless people escape slavery and fight for freedom.
I is for Ida B. Wells – fearless journalist and activist who spoke out against lynching and racial injustice, paving the way for generations of advocates for equality.
💡 Did you know? Ida B. Wells co-founded the NAACP, which just celebrated Founder’s Day yesterday!
Two women. Unstoppable courage. Endless legacy.
