God sees you. He saw you when you were at your least. He sees you even though you have nothing to offer and He values you.
As the perfect example, Jesus invites us to be like Him and our Father. He invites us to see those that others look past, to really see someone and meet them where they are at. And when we do, He shows us how important it is. We aren't just seeing that person, we are seeing Him.

There are so many things in life that threaten to steal our joy, but God gives it freely and all we have to do is choose it. So the next time you are in a situation where joy doesn't seem to be there, ask the Lord to show you. In asking for help, you are choosing Him and His joy.

As you read, ask:
What does this teach me about God?
What does this teach me about people?
How should this change the way I live?

These three questions work for almost any passage.

God values you. One of the ways He shows you is through confronting you with His Word so that nothing can come between you and Him. He gives us this plan with each other as well. Our Father loves to see us build relationships and stay connected.
Value those around you enough to have hard conversations in love. Every family member and friend is valuable and worth the effort.

A single verse can be powerful, but it's often misunderstood when taken out of context. Read the verses before and after—and whenever possible, the entire chapter.
