For a variety of reasons, we are going to have to reschedule our FFA Welcome Back BBQ - NO meeting tonight! Sorry for the short notice.

In other news, our students had a great time at the FFA Greenhand Leadership Conference yesterday in Colusa and we have other students looking forward to the Mendo-Lake Section Leadership night tomorrow in Fort Bragg.

The Old Feedmill Garden is still producing excellent vegetables and fruits and our cafeteria and students are enjoying being a part of that process!

We had a great time showing the Upper Lake Elementary Afterschool program the animals at the school farm 🥰 Our students did a great job as tour guides and the students were Safe, Respectful, and Responsible!

We are excited to get started on some school farm upgrades - first of which is the perimeter fence. Even more exciting is that our FFA Alumni, Bryor Minton, is building it! He started his own fencing business and is doing awesome 👏 Way to go Bryor!

The Old Feed Mill Garden is in full swing and we are looking for helpers to harvest twice a week on Monday’s and Thursday’s. Great community service opportunity! Message Mrs. Boomer for more information! We harvested over 50lbs of fresh, organic produce this morning (egg plant, cucumbers, squash and more)!

UL FFA members had a great time at the Northern Exposure Cattle Camp this weekend! Congrats to Ruby Wurm who got Grand Champion Market Steer and Reserve Grand Champion in Division 2 Intermediate Showmanship, Jayme Zimmerscheid got Grand Champion in Division 1 Senior Showmanship, and Madi Noble got Reserve Grand Champion Showmanship and Taylar Minnis placed 3rd in the same class!! They learned so much about show day preparation and then put it to practice during the competition today. Thank you Reis Family and all of those sponsors who made this a great event for our students, including our own Will and Jasmine Wurm and Charles Webster General Engineering.
