Learning is nowhere near one-size-fits-all when it comes to children. Every child develops at their own pace, in their own way, and through their own experiences. Some learn by doing, some by watching, some by listening, and some by needing extra time and support—and all of that is normal.

Children don’t come with a “standard setting.”
What should be standard is:
• Meeting children where they are
• Honoring different learning styles and abilities
• Allowing room for growth, mistakes, curiosity, and exploration
• Teaching the whole child—socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically

Especially in early childhood, learning looks like play, conversation, trial and error, and relationship-building—not worksheets and checklists.

Today during Choice Time, the children enjoyed pretending to be photographers. They used toy cameras to ‘take pictures’ of friends and classroom items, practicing creativity, turn-taking, and communication. The children loved talking about what they had captured and sharing their ideas with others.
