Playing around with IO Driver! Have you had a chance to play with it yet!? It works like a charm. I heard this is going to be included in the new ICEMA updates. That means A LOT of ambulance, EMS and Fire departments will be adding this as first line equipment. This will have a huge financial impact on budgets for equipment and having to stop paying for the overpriced EZ- IO drill.

New Tactical Combat Casualty Care course out! No more 2 day 16 hour course, this new 63 hour course is LEGIT!!!

TCCC Combat Medic/Corpsman (TCCC CMC) is a 63-hour course for combat medics, corpsmen, pararescue personnel and other military medical personnel being deployed into combat. This course is intended to train participants to provide more advanced prehospital casualty care than is taught in the ASM or CLS courses. Instruction includes the use of advanced medical equipment and knowledge in the management of life-threatening injuries commonly encountered on the battlefield.

First NAEMT PHTLS 10th edition course completed! I am very happy with the improvements made in this edition over the 9th.

Welp, it’s off to paramedic school starting this summer. Long overdue to correct this gap in my medical knowledge, education and training.

Finally civilian trauma is directly referencing TCCC and TECC and the MARCH algorithm to support. This version is leaps and bounds better than any previous version.

TECC for Law Enforcement Officers and First Responders (TECC-LEO):
An 8-hour classroom course specifically designed for law enforcement officers and other non-EMS first responders. The course covers materials found in the 16-hour TECC provider course at a level appropriate for first responders. It includes 8 hours of content, which includes interactive lectures, skill stations, and patient simulations. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion, recognizing them as a TECC-LEO provider for 4 years, and 8 hours of CAPCE credit for qualified participants.
