Ovation School for the Performing Arts is a program designed to provide training for kids, tweens & teens in all areas of the Performing Arts - acting, singing and dancing. We offer open enrollment with no contracts or additional registration fees. Ovation is now offering an all new program for adults as well including Screen Writing, Acting and Voice Classes.

🎥 We are thrilled to announce our newest program at Ovation: The Teen Film Academy! Students will learn the art of making a film from concept to post-production. During the second semester the students will produce their own short film. The Film Program will meet on Thursday evenings 6:30-8:30pm at our school in Historic Downtown Upland. The collaborative nature of this program requires a commitment to the full school year. Ages 13-18. $200 per month. Please SHARE to help spread the word!

Wow! What an outpouring of love we've received the past 24 hours. Over the weekend someone broke into our exterior storage facility and stole thousands of dollars worth of power tools and equipment. Without these tools, we would have been unable to complete many projects within our *amazing* new building in downtown Upland. We want to extend our gratitude Nancy Cowsert Lewis, who put out a call to her circle of friends to donate to Ovation to enable us to purchase new tools. And donate they did! THANK YOU to all of you who have contributed to our tool fund. We are back in business with new tools and a secure metal door. We are also immensely grateful to of Upland for their generous discount! Thank you all for your generosity and helping us fulfill our vision for our students, families and community.

The first summer workshop has been a total success.
Our focus: “Making a Difference”.
Who better to teach the kids, than the very heroes making a difference in our community?
A huge shout out to Teddy Magboo, Marysia Terelak-Foster, Grant Kovacovich, the Great Gonzo and the Peace Pantry! Thank you for taking the time to meet our kids, and inspiring them to be great leaders.
The summer camp performance is in the last hours of editing. An hour-long film, shot and edited in a week by one man, is a grueling and extraordinary task. However, It’s all worth it looking into the eyes of the students.
This movie is going to be an exceptional one.

Ovation School for the Performing Arts provides classes in all areas of the performing arts. Students between the ages of 5-18 take classes after school in Jazz, Musical Theater, Tap, Singing and Acting. These same classes are provided to Teens and Adults with Special Needs on Saturdays. Students are encouraged to apply their skills at community performances and recitals throughout the year.
At Ovation creativity is encouraged without limits. However, true creativity must have proper structure. In the classroom, we allow the creativity to blossom while teaching structure in a non-critical way. While it is true that the process of being creative is equally as important as the final product, it isn’t enough to simply have the natural gift and allow it to run freely. It must be cultivated and developed to its fullest potential. The most powerful way to develop this balance of self-discipline and creativity in the student is through self-discovery and pride in their accomplishment.
The goal for Ovation has always been to use the Arts to teach life skills such as self-discipline, teamwork and most importantly the concept of “paying it forward” by giving back to their community. Ovation is dedicated to building the character of each individual student, with the belief that they will use these life-skills to make a difference in the world. By teaching the students to use their gifts in this way, we change the world one child at a time.
