Trying to stay busy today and keep my mind off the election. Wish I had meetings and work to distract, but no such luck. So Biscuit and I
set up the campaign truck and than we went to Canes for lunch. She got a couple dog cookies and her own order of french fries . Now we will walk home.
This particular election was more stressful than normal. So local water politicians were so afraid of losing their coveted positions that they decided to play dirty. The coerced endorsements for my opponents through quid pro quo and they actively threatened my endorsements job at Metropolitan Water Districts if he didn’t remove his endorsement of me. They put out a hit piece ad on Facebook and Instagram full of lies about me because they couldn’t dig up any real dirt. They filled my opponent’s campaign committee and local Political Action Committees with big money from special interests, money from IEUA consultants that currently have multimillion dollar contracts with IEUA, water leaders from San Diego, Fontana and Los Angeles. This will make sure he never votes for the people as he is now bought and paid for. He put signs up in illegal locations and after being contacted about it he continued. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Whether this person is aware of what is going on or it is just people that he aligns and he is that naive it doesn’t matter. The minute he took big money he was responsible for everything that happened afterwards. What kind of person do you want representing you on your local wastewater and water board??

I still have a few campaign signs left if you would like to support your grassroots 98% self funded candidate for Inland Empire Utilities Agency. I will represent you with the same effort that I put into my campaign. I do not take money from special interests, pay for play consultants and out of the area water agency leaders to hire someone to run my campaign. All the work you see for my campaign is done by me or community volunteers. I am willing to work hard for your vote and will continue to work hard when in office. I am a retired Inland Empire Utilities Agency engineer that works part time in water policy, which allows me to be fully present and work exclusively for you the resident once elected. I can make sure your sewer rates payments are used in a fiscally responsible manner and not on programs and projects that are not related to protecting your water. Please visit www.katithewaterlady.com for more information and vote for KATI PARKER so I can protect your water supply into the future.
Vote Kati Parker, Kati the Water Lady, to protect your water today!!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! Even the skeletons are campaigning at Carlotta’s house!!
Good Morning, It is throwback Thursday and I am posting Inland Empire Utilities Agency's newsletter from Fall of 2000. You may or may not recognize me on the front cover, with my maiden name, Ooten, and my much shorter hair. What fun to look back on the many memories of my years working at IEUA. During this period I was working in the Water Resources Department in the main office in Fontana. I always felt very lucky because I was fortunate to work in the field in Operations and also in the office in Water Resources and the Engineering departments. The reason was because I valued my relationships with people the most and I was blessed to befriend both IEUA employees in the field and the office.
