Thank you to everyone who participated in our annual Casino Night fundraiser! We haven’t had one since pre-Covid and everyone had a wonderful time dressing up 80’s style with the included: “chips”, drinks, Vince’s Spaghetti, drinks and tickets for our wonderful prize table.

We had a wonderful outcome and information about new things going on at the school as well as valuable discussions for future plans at our Coffee with the Director this morning. Hope to see you at the next one, this takes place the second Wednesday of each month ☕️🍩

This week our brand new elementary classroom opened. It is located right behind the Administration offices and has much more room for our elementary class.

This past Saturday we had a great turnout for another of our Journey and Discovery events. Parents came to walk the classrooms, view and learn about the work their children are doing and meet their their teachers individually. If you missed it, we hope to see you at the next one!

Montessori Academy of Upland will host Journey & Discovery, a hands-on seminar that lets you explore the Montessori curriculum from 6 weeks through 3rd grade.

The day starts promptly at 9:00 am. We will gather together to begin our “Journey” through the classroom environments. We will then split into the classroom/s of your choice to explore the curriculum through hands on learning and an opportunity to talk with teachers at all levels about what the child experiences in a Montessori classroom. The journey ends with some light refreshments and discussion.

We are excited to be able to offer this experience to our parents and others who are interested in discovering new educational options for their child. By experiencing what your child does each day, and what work he or she will do at the next level, you’ll get a full understanding of the value of a Montessori education. For those that are new to Montessori, you will be able to see if this is the right educational choice for your child. For those already enrolled and will be transitioning, this will be a great opportunity to foresee what your child will experience during the next educational level.

Space is limited and we will be preparing some light refreshments for this event, so we will need to know how many parents will be attending. Reserve your spot by Wednesday, February 1st. If for any reason you are unable to attend after signing up, please contact the office as soon as possible to ensure the spot is made available to the next person on the waiting list.

The Elementary class went on a field trip last week to Lewis Family Playhouse to watch the Nutcracker, the children enjoyed the show and even learned some ballet choreography in between acts!

Our International Potluck yesterday was a success. Our families gathered for food and fun, everyone had a great time!

The Elementary class was able to take a field trip this past week to the Alf Museum where they were able to see exhibits on a guided tour and take part in activities learning more about dinosaurs and fossils.

Back to school night was a huge success, thank you everyone who came! If you were unable to make it, pls reach connect with you teachers on any new information for this school year.

The children had such a great time on Friday on our annual end of summer Guasti park field trip!

The 2022-2023 School Year is right around the corner! Back to School Night will be held on Thursday, August 25th @ 6:30 PM. This is an informational night for new and existing parents. Looking forward to beginning another wonderful year!

The children enjoyed having Wild Wonders in the Wild animal exhibit at the school yesterday when they encountered animals from all over the world. 🐿🦔🐍🐸🐒🦆🐢

The children enjoyed Traveling Tide Pools this past Thursday at the school they got to enjoying touching and seeing animals ranging from crabs to sharks! 🦀🦈
