Only with respect, dignity and equality for all will we reach our full potential as human beings. PFLAG Franklin welcomes the support and respectful participation of all.

PFLAG Franklin will once again participate in the Su***de Prevention Walk at Cenntennial High School on April 12 at 1pm. We know that LGBTQ+ individuals are at higher risk, so we walk to support that community.

We'd love for you to join our PFLAG Franklin Team. You can find our team page here where you can make a donation or join our team to participate on April 12.

I'm supporting American Foundation for Su***de Prevention to help save lives and bring hope to those affected by su***de. Please support me with a donation or join me!

Just a reminder that our special event is Monday, March 3! Dr. Amy-Jill Levine, Distinguished Professor of New Testament and Jewish Studies, will present on “The Bible and LGBTQIA+ Issues,” 7pm, March 3, 2025 at Christ UMC Franklin. Dr. Levine will guide us through a historical-critical perspective on the Clobber Verses, the handful of verses in the Bible used to support religious opposition to LGBTQIA+ people. We are sponsoring this event along with Always God's Children, so we’re anticipating a large group. No registration needed.

Healthy Families Bright Futures program seeks to increase caregiver acceptance and support for their LGBTQ+ teen as well as equip caregivers with tools to help their teen make healthy choices. Likewise, the program seeks to increase pride and social connection among LGBTQ+ teens as well as to provide teens with information and skills about making healthy choices around things like substance use and dating.

They are currently recruiting parents into this paid research program. If you are interested in participating, please contact Alyson at [email protected].

A full day of advocacy at the Advancing Equality Day on the Hill, organized beautifully by the Tennessee Equality Project. LGBTQ activists and allies came from all over the state to advocate for equality with TN lawmakers, sit in on hearings, and let our voices be heard. So grateful for all the amazing folks doing this hard and important work.

Williamson County was well represented with members from PFLAG Franklin, Wilco Iris, Franklin Pride, and individuals from the community.

Then some of us finished the day returning to Franklin to attend tonight’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting where the permit for the 2025 Franklin Pride Festival was approved unanimously. It was a blessedly uneventful meeting and we are looking forward to to June 7.

Today was a reminder that while there are big challenges ahead as q***r and transgender people are under relentless attack right now, the LGBTQ community is resilient and will not be erased.
