🚀 August was HUGE for Treetops... but North Texas Giving Day on September 17 is where we make our biggest leap yet!

Thanks to our amazing community, August was a record-breaking month! We raised $4,000 and grew our monthly recurring donor base from 1 supporter to 16 in just one week. To put that into perspective, that single month brought in more support than our last two North Texas Giving Days combined! 💙

While that momentum gives us so much hope, the reality is that we still have a ways to go.

Like many public charter schools across Texas, Treetops faces a $1,500 per-student state funding gap compared to traditional districts, along with stagnant state funding and rising operational costs across our 22-acre campus.

That is why for this North Texas Giving Day (Thursday, September 17), we have set a Big, Bold, Audacious Goal: RAISE $20,000.

🎯 OUR NTX GIVING DAY TARGETS:
1️⃣ $20,000 Raised: Every dollar goes directly toward fueling our campus, supporting our teachers, and protecting our small class sizes.

2️⃣ 32 Monthly Supporters: We went from 1 to 16 recurring monthly donors last month. Our goal for September 17 is to DOUBLE that number to 32 monthly supporters! Whether it is $5, $10, or $20 a month, ongoing support gives our school predictable fuel to keep our mission strong.

The Treetops BioBlitz, in partnership with TRWD - Tarrant Regional Water District, One Earth One Chance, and GROW North Texas is off and running!

Over 100 sign-ups and this morning’s crowd is geared up and ready to go!

Come out, sign in, download the iNaturalist.org app, and let’s get some Citizen Science underway.

We cannot wait to see everyone tomorrow for our first Treetops BioBlitz!!!

Please see the information on the flyer. We’d love it if you signed up beforehand, but please know you can do so at the event as well. We just want as many of you there as possible.

To get to the gathering space where each timeslot will begin, drive up through the west gate and locate the parking that is in front of you. Park in any available spot and then you will walk south on the driveway till you get to the old elementary building (big, brown building on right side of drive) where people will be there to greet you.

One recurring donor turned into sixteen. That’s nearly $1,000 more a month going straight into the everyday things our Treetops kids need. Y’all did that. Grateful don’t even cover it. 🌳💚
