SVCC Adult Ed and Project VITAL

SVCC Adult Ed and Project VITAL Sauk Valley Community College's Adult Education Department is made up of our free GED and ESL classes as well as our adult literacy program, Project VITAL.

The Adult Education Program at Sauk Valley Community College offers free GED and ESL (English as a Second Language) classes to adults 17 and over. We have several class locations and various times to best meet the needs of our students. Call us today for more information or to sign up at 815-835-6310. Project VITAL is a non-profit, community supported organization that has been in the Sauk Valley

area for over 31 years. VITAL serves Sauk Valley residents over the age of 17 who read below the 9th grade reading level and are no longer in school. Our aim is to match students with tutors who will help them reach their personal goals and ultimately help them become more self-sufficient. Please contact us if you'd like to become a volunteer tutor or would like to register as a student. Free training sessions are available in a variety of ways. Tutors are supplied with appropriate materials, and meeting locations and times are convenient for both the student and tutor. We'd love to have you join Team VITAL! Contact Information:

We are so excited to share our good news:

We will be partnering with CNA faculty to offer a free support test preparation and reading comprehension classes this fall 👍

We will be offering a free workforce bridge course for our GED and ESL students to explore the careers pathway of health science and manufacturing.👍

Project VITAL will be offering a free conversation class for advanced English language learners. 👍
