Through the gifts of generous donors, we are able to sew into the lives of college students with the Grace Scholarship, our Prince (& Princess) Club, and our Bible Study groups. Today we celebrate the graduation of Bienvenu and are honored by his gratitude through his beautiful thank you letter, translated to English below...

"By the grace of God and thanks to your constant support, I am honored to announce today that I have obtained my bachelor's degree. Your commitment has been much more than simple financial support; it has been a concrete manifestation of love for one's neighbor and the faithfulness of God. As it is written in Galatians 6:9: 'Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.' You have sown in my life with faith and perseverance, and today I am the fruit of that seed.

I also give thanks to the Lord for your lives, in accordance with Philippians 1:3: 'I thank
my God every time I remember you.' Your work is a light that illuminates the path of
many young people, offering them not only an education, but also hope and strong
values. Therefore, please accept, through these words, the expression of my deepest gratitude. May the Lord bless you abundantly, strengthen your mission, and grant you to see the fruits of your works multiply for His glory." - Bienvenu

URGENT NEED FOR PRAYERS -- Will you please join us in praying for the people of eastern DR Congo including our FHA team and our students? The political situation has been tenuous since early 2025 with many banks and government offices still closed, and with the deadly outbreak of a new strain of Ebola spreading through the area, we are asking for URGENT PRAYERS for Africa.

Please join us in praying that our Future Hope Africa team, students, and residents of eastern DR Congo will be protected by God from illness and war, and that God will provide for their provisions with the borders now also being closed to prevent the spread of the deadly virus. Prayer is powerful, and we are confident that God will hear our heartfelt pleading for the Congolese.

WILL YOU PLEASE HELP US REACH OUR GOAL FOR FUNDING VBS?

Each summer, we host a two-week Vacation Bible School for around 200 disadvantaged children, many of whom travel great distances by foot to participate because our program is rare and sought after in DR Congo. Last year's VBS saw 25 salvations and numerous rededications of faith. VBS expenses include teaching materials, food and drinks for the children, and transportation/meals costs for 35 volunteer teachers.

If there are any funds left over after providing for these needs they will be applied to local Future Hope Africa giving expenses that help children and young adults. This year's VBS is planned for July 27th - August 9th, 2026 and we pray confidently that God will provide and is faithful!

As daughters of the Most High King, women and girls of all ages often still struggle with believing themselves to be princesses and heirs to the throne of God.

Our identities often get wrapped up in the words of others, which can sometimes be harsh, demeaning, or dismissive, and if we believe that we cannot achieve something... we stop trying. We stop dreaming. We stop believing the Truth of the Word of God. We stop listening to his voice and his call to take action steps, not because we don't want to obey, but rather because we don't believe that he could possibly choose us. We forget God's Word that speaks of our identity in Christ, and we doubt that he really sees us as valuable and worthy of the high cost he paid for our souls through the blood of his only Son.

Nabintu recently gathered together the Princess Club in Bukavu with this powerful message of inspiring the girls to shift their beliefs related to their identity, seeing themselves through God's eyes and allowing their character to be developed rightly. In a world swarming with voices who speak hopelessness and powerlessness, we're blessed to have a founder and visionary at Future Hope Africa who calls hearts to focus on the Voice of Truth, believing upon and surrendering to the infinite power and ways of the Lord. When a voice like Bintu's pierces through the lies to reach hearts with the light of Jesus, Holy Spirit does a mighty work in us.

"When they came, he looked on Eliab and thought, 'Surely the Lord's anointed is before him.' But the Lord said to Samuel, 'Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.'" - 1 Samuel 16:6-7 ESV

"Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers." - Ephesians 4:29 NKJV

As children of God living in a world poisoned by corruption, we are encouraged by those who speak out the word of God, those who speak messages filled with encouragement and hope, and those who give testimony to the powerful workings of God in his Kingdom through the body of Christ.

In Bukavu, Future Hope Africa's radio show has become a lifeline to many who are hungry for those who speak truth amidst the lies, hope amidst devastation, and the goodness of God amidst the empty promises of the Enemy. This year, we are praying for wisdom and direction as we embrace the opportunity of expanding our radio show with the internet possibilities through Starlink. Our radio journalists and technology-savvy young people have dreams of setting up their own studio with their own radio station, which would allow the gift of HOPE to be shared in more homes, workplaces, and automobiles than ever before.

Prayers for God to crown the year 2026 with bounty! It's early in the season yet, but we have been blessed with an incredible team of educated and driven people here at Future Hope Africa who have expanded our agricultural project with plans for ongoing sustainability, and God has been blessing us with rain and sunshine.

We'd like to increase our ability to provide Congolese with quality, locally grown food, and for the first time ever, we are even researching ways to prepare local products to be shelf-stable. With the potential to improve the lives of so many people in the Bukavu area, we're raising funds to build a commercial kitchen for our agricultural projects and the kindergarten school (ages 3-6).

NO BIBLE to NEW BIBLES, praise God! With only 1/3 of all believers in DRC having access to a Bible, it's such a blessing that we received the new Bibles funded by Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Fredonia, Kentucky, for distribution recently! We gather weekly groups for Bible study and not everyone has their own Bible, so what an incredible gift this is for people who are realizing that they need God's Word to thrive in these difficult times.

Would you like to pass along the gift of God's Word to an area of the world that doesn't have easy access to it? We need your help to fill this severe Bible shortage and need in DRC, because while 95% identify as a Christian, roughly 2/3 of them don't have access to a Bible! Preparations for Vacation Bible School 2026 have begun, and we're in need of prayer partners to pray for wisdom and favor as we seek the Lord about the topic and lessons that God wants us to bring to the children of Bukavu this year. We're trusting Holy Spirit to guide us as we write our own curriculum each year to specifically address the needs of this war-impacted community in D.R. Congo.
