Live firing is offered to those who complete the course and feel comfortable enough to do so. There are no tests involved with this course but test questions will be explored during the duration of the course. Length of class is dependent on the students but should average 3 hours in class and 1+ on range. Fi****ms aren’t needed but welcomed. Please bring them unloaded and separate in vehicle. Monday June 13th, 2022 is when constitutional carry/permit-less carry (concealed) goes into effect for Ohio.

Must be a qualifying adult (who would pass the background check for the license)

04/12/2022

This is not through myself, this is offered through Armed2Defend where I became an instructor and I urge you to share this with your family and friends who it may apply to:

“Feeling 🤯 trying to understand the new Ohio Constitutional Carry changes?

If you haven't applied for the license yet, you may be wondering if you should even bother.

If you already have your license, you might be wondering if you should plan to renew it.

We know it is confusing. All the bad information out there makes it even harder to sort through.

We will help you understand the basic facts and answer the most common questions we hear from students.
The Details:

This will be a live Zoom session hosted by Kevin & Alisha. You can choose to have your camera on or off.

There is no cost to attend.

We know you are busy. We are aiming to keep this around 20 minutes. (We are happy to stick around longer for your questions.)

How to Register:
We have two time slots to choose from.
After you register, you'll get the zoom link sent to your email.
Space for each session is limited.

We look forward to answering your questions about Constitutional Carry.

Stay safe,
Kevin & Alisha”

I will add the link to register in the comment section.

“The call came from the governor's campaign staff just before 5 p.m. yesterday.

I recognized the caller ID and picked up the phone. "Do you have good news for me?"

The reply was, "The governor has just signed Senate Bill 215."

And with the stroke of a pen, Governor DeWine made Ohio the 23rd state with permitless or "constitutional" carry.

Depending on the day the act is "enrolled" by the Secretary of State, the law changes in mid June. We'll confirm the exact date as soon as we can.

Here's our press release on the bill being signed.

We have been working toward this day for a long time. The passage of SB 215 is the capstone to a body of legislative work that spans 20 years. Click here to see our legal and legislative accomplishments.

We appreciate Gov. DeWine fulfilling his campaign promise to sign this bill.

And we also appreciate the work of bill sponsor Sen. Terry Johnson, House Government Oversight Committee Chair Rep. Shane Wilkin, House Speaker Rep. Robert Cupp, Senate Veterans and Public Safety Chair Sen. Frank Hoagland, and Senate President Sen. Matt Huffman.

If you're curious about how this bill got to the governor's desk, listen to this week's podcast. We go in-depth to talk about our strategy for bringing this landmark legislation to reality.”

“Today, the Ohio Senate Overwhelmingly passed Constitutional Carry legislation, Senate Bill 215, by a 23 to 8 vote. The measure now heads to the house to be scheduled for further consideration.

Senate Bill 215 allows a law-abiding adult who is at least 21 years of age, and legally allowed to possess a firearm, to carry a handgun without first having to obtain government permission. This ensures that citizens have the right to self-defense without government red tape or delays. Additionally, this legislation maintains the existing concealed handgun license system, so citizens who still wish to obtain a permit may do so.

Thank you to bill sponsor, Senator Terry Johnson, as well as to those Senators who voted in favor of Senate Bill 215.”

“Breaking News: The Ohio State House of Representatives just passed constitutional carry (House Bill 227) legislation by a vote of 60-32. This is incredible news and an absolute testament to what gun rights supporters can accomplish when they come together and exert their political power. The legislation now heads over to the Ohio State Senate for consideration. House Bill 227 will join another constitutional carry bill, Senate Bill 215, in the upper chamber.

With the Ohio State Senate having a couple options to pass constitutional carry, we are asking for you to reach out to your specific state senator and encourage them to take action on either HB227 or SB215 as soon as possible. To do this, simply use FPC's convenient constituent outreach tool by clicking the red "Pass OH Constitutional Carry" button in this email. We have drafted a sample email for you to review, edit, and personalize prior to sending it off to your elected official.

Again, we thank you for your grassroots outreach that made this success a reality. Our supporters are unmatched in their activism. We appreciate your continued support of FPC and will keep you up-to-date on any progress related to Ohio constitutional carry and any other issues that may impact your individual rights at the local, state and federal levels.”

Constitutional Carry can become a reality in Ohio!

Ohio has a "pro-gun" majority in the State House. Ohio has a "pro-gun" majority in the State Senate. The governor of Ohio is also "pro-gun". Despite having this governmental trifecta, somehow these "pro-gun" legislators were not able to get Constitutional Carry through this past legislative session. Seems odd right? How could it fail to pass with these supposedly "pro-gun" majorities in place? It's simple really. Some elected officials are more comfortable with offering lip service to the gun rights movement, than actually having a backbone and getting the job done.

Due to this unfortunate reality, we need you to be proactive by signing FPC's petition to support Constitutional Carry when it is reintroduced in the next legislative session. Simply click one of the red "Sign Constitutional Carry Petition" buttons in this email to have your voice heard. A pre-drafted email will be made available to you that you are encouraged to edit/personalize. We will then store those emails until the next legislative session, and when Constitutional Carry is introduced, we will release the emails to your state legislators. The flood of stored emails should get the legislators' attention.

There were a couple of states that were seriously considering Constitutional Carry this year, which fell just a few votes short. There were other states where it looked Constitutional Carry might not make it, but with some nudging from the gun rights community, it got done. If you believe in Constitutional Carry, then help us nudge these Ohio state legislators and until they deliver on their pro-gun promises! Thanks in advance, we at FPC appreciate your continued action and support!

You've trained to protect yourself from a violent attack. But all the tactics you know assume you'll be alone and free to respond in any way you choose.

What happens if you're with a family member or friend when the unthinkable happens?

How will they react? Will they know what to do? And more importantly, will they know what NOT to do? Will their response help or hinder your response at a critical moment?

Self-defense with a partner requires special training and careful planning to make sure you're working together effectively and not working against each other.

Our Partner Tactics class will address these issues and help you and your partner develop a clear and simple plan of action.

Should you and your partner do the same things at the same time or should you each have a different task?

How should your tactics differ if you're with someone who is unarmed? The answer may not be what you think.

What is the best way to work with your partner to respond to multiple threats?

How do you communicate clearly with your partner at a moment when their vision and hearing may be impaired by stress?

If you're successful and down a threat, what's next? Do you know the right way to deal with bad guys who are injured or on the ground?

Do you have a plan for handling first responders? This could be a dangerous time and your decisions are critical.

This is a class for gun owners who have their Concealed Handgun License and know basic safe gun handling, but want to take their skills to the next level.

You will rehearse realistic, real-world scenarios and learn how to move, shoot, and prevail with a partner.

Partner Tactics is unlike any self-defense firearm class you've ever taken. You will discover a brand new set of skills that you can add to your daily routine to boost your confidence and increase your survival quotient.

CLICK LINK BELOW for detailed information about this class. Hurry! This class is scheduled for Saturday, June 19 from 9am to 5pm.
