DO NOT park next to the rescue building next to the signs, VIOLATORS WILL BE TOWED!!!! NO WARNING PAST THIS! Behind the lot is fine and up to the power pole is fine for the public. This is especially important for when the carnival is going on and in town as fire personnel have to use our lot as well as our normal EMS personnel.

EMS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED in every department. Fulton County Emergency Medical Association has an Emergency Medical Responder class tentatively scheduled starting 9/8/26 and ending 10/22/26. Class would be held in person on Tuesday and Thursday evenings 1715 - 2115 at the SIU Learning Lab in Canton. Only 5 people in the entire county have contacted them. Our agency has had 178 medical calls this year already, which means we are on track to surpassing 300 if this pace keeps up by the end of the year. This being said our agency is currently operating on 3 members for our entire area. We still need people and are still looking for volunteers as it is difficult to have someone around at all times running on numbers that low and we do everything we can to help our community and agencies that request our assistance. We are looking and needing people who are willing to answer and help others when paged out. Please private message the department if you want to join. You will have to complete a first responder course in order to become a full member if you’re accepted in and you’ll be notified of class dates once we have enough for a class.

Our agency has been very busy today, with 2 in district medical calls, a change of quarters and responding to two different medical calls for Canton Fire Department while they were dispatched for a structure fire. One of those calls was for a 40 year old female that suffered trauma from an incident involving a rope swing at canton lake. Our agency would like to thank Cuba fire, Farmington fire/rescue, Canton Fire/Rescue, Canton Police Department, FCEMA and OSF Life Flight for their help at this scene and getting the patient the care they needed.

A Trauma call was received by 911 dispatch at 507pm today for a woman that had fell down an approximately 30 foot ravine. Cass-Putman Rescue and Fulton County Emergency Medical Association-Ambulance was dispatched. OSF Lifeflight and Cuba Fire Protection District were requested for additional help. The patient was found down an approximately 50 foot ravine. The patient was extricated using a stokes basket, ropes and a lot of manpower. Then transported on Cuba FD UTV to Lifeflight a 1/2 mile away. The patient was then transported by OSFLifeflight to OSF for Further evaluation and treatment.

Sunday morning at 538am 911 dispatch received a call for a motor vehicle rollover on Route 9 and County 2. Cass-Putman Rescue, Cuba Fire Department, Fulton County Emergency Medical Association- Ambulance and Fulton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area and found a rollover at Turkey Creek bottom. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled numerous times . A thorough search of the area and no patients were found but evidence at the scene indicated the patient or patients had injuries.

Saturday morning at 527 am dispatch received a report of a motor vehicle accident rollover with entrapment. Cass-Putman Rescue, Smithfield Fire Department, Fulton County Sheriff’s deputies, and Fulton County Emergency Medical Association responded. Cuba Fire Department and Bushnell Fire/ Rescue Department was requested for Additional Extrcation Equipment, manpower and to set up a landing zone but All helicopters were grounded due to the weather. The patient was transported to McDonough District Hospital in Macomb for further evaluation and treatment. A big thank you to Smithfield and Bushnell Fire Departments for their help with Extrication using the Jaws of Life !

If you want to park in the back lot of our parking lot that is fine, however past the telephone pole where the signs are is strictly for rescue/fire personnel ONLY! We have signs warning that your vehicle will be towed at your own expense if parked where the signs are. We do not want to have to tow anyone’s vehicle but we will.

Today March 29 Fulton County dispatch received a 911 call for a 72 year old Female that had been accidentally ran over by a truck on Point Pleasant Road in rural Marietta. Cass-Putman Rescue, Cuba Fire Department, Smithfield Fire Department, Fulton County EMA, Fulton County Sheriff’s deputies and OSF Lifeflight helicopter were all dispatched. The patient was treated for traumatic injuries and flown by Lifeflight helicopter to OSF St Francis Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. Thank you to all the agencies for your fast response and assistance.
