*WILLING TO TRAIN THE RIGHT INDIVIDUAL*
Job purpose: To provide hands-on training instruction to people from all walks of life.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Meet all Curriculum requirements for instructing individuals in the range
(Pre-Trip Inspections, Straight line backing, Off-set backing, 90 Degree backing, shifting a manual transmission, lane centering, lane changes and freeway driving, performing right and left turns, including multiple lane turns, hazard perception, visual search and sign recognition)
Maintain student grades
Promote safe and friendly learning environment
Keep equipment, classrooms, and training grounds clean and well maintained
Assess student learning abilities through formative evaluation techniques
Inform Officer Manager of issues with students such as: behavioral, academic, or personal
Follow the syllabus and lessons set forth by the school
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Class âAâ Unrestricted CDL license required
Current D.O.T. Physical required
2 years of experience with tractor-trailers preferred
Ability to Obtain Instructor's license
Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion
Must be able to empathize with student, address grievances, and mitigate potential issues
Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Work Schedule:
Consistently reports to work on time, prepared to perform duties of the positions, and must be appropriately dressed (no jeans).
