Dear Parents and Guardians,

This is a friendly reminder from the School Nurse's Office regarding required physical examinations and student medications.

Students in mandated grade levels must have a current physical examination on file. Physicals completed on or after September 1, 2025 are valid for this school year.

If your child needs medication during the school day (including inhalers, EpiPens, seizure medications, or other prescribed medications), please provide the medication, a healthcare provider's order, and all required forms to the Nurse's Office.
Per SCSD policy, morning medications should be given at home except for unusual circumstances as determined by the student’s medical provider and/or the school nurse.

If your child's physical is not up to date, please contact your healthcare provider to schedule an appointment. If your child is enrolled in the School-Based Health Center, please contact the center directly.

Please submit all required health documentation as soon as possible to ensure your child receives the care they need during the school day.

If you have any questions, please contact the School Nurse.

Before and After School Program Information:

Delaware Primary School will continue offering both Before School Program (BSP) and After School Program (ASP) opportunities this year.

Please note that both programs will begin on October 14, 2026.

Before School Program (BSP): 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.

After School Program (ASP): Begins at dismissal 3:15 p.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m.

Additional information about both programs will be shared in the coming weeks.

Important: Families who would like their child to receive transportation beginning on the first day of the After School Program must complete and return all registration paperwork by Friday, September 18, 2026.

Please have your Delaware scholar return all completed applications to the Main Office or their classroom teacher.

Check your scholars bookbag at night to ensure it has been turned in. Thank you for your attention to this important deadline. We look forward to providing these opportunities for our students!

Hello Delaware Families!

Thank you for your continued support and commitment to making this a successful school year. We appreciate all you do to help our students thrive.

Attendance Reminder:
- Please ensure your child arrives at school by 8:30 a.m. daily.

- Our school will celebrate the importance of attendance! The grade level with the highest attendance rate at the end of the month will create a special celebration.

Remote Learning Packets:
- On Friday, all students will receive a blue backpack to keep at home. These contain pencils, crayons, a remote learning packet, and an activity from our after-school program.

- Please return completed packets for a chance to earn family incentives, which will be shared before our first remote learning day.
