Hello Delaware Families!

Thank you for your continued support and commitment to making this a successful school year. We appreciate all you do to help our students thrive.

Attendance Reminder:
- Please ensure your child arrives at school by 8:30 a.m. daily.

- Our school will celebrate the importance of attendance! The grade level with the highest attendance rate at the end of the month will create a special celebration.

Remote Learning Packets:
- On Friday, all students will receive a blue backpack to keep at home. These contain pencils, crayons, a remote learning packet, and an activity from our after-school program.

- Please return completed packets for a chance to earn family incentives, which will be shared before our first remote learning day.

Thank you for your partnership and dedication to our scholars. Let's make this a fantastic year at Delaware!

Happy First Day of School!

Delaware's doors open at 8:20 AM and students should be prepared to begin instruction at 8:30 AM.

Families may accompany students to class on Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:20-9:30 AM.

We love our Mrs. Garn

Delaware Primary School Special Education teacher Kathleen Garn goes above and beyond – also serving in the role of Robotics Instructor in the school’s After School Program… it’s why her colleague, Library Media Specialist Tanisha Huertas, nominated her as an outstanding staff member. Inspired by her father’s service as a past SCSD After School Program Robotics Instructor, this year, Ms. Garn led the Delaware Robotics team to a 1st place win!

“Kathleen’s dedication and passion truly exemplify the spirit of our community,” Ms. Huertas shared. “Her commitment to her students and her willingness to go above and beyond are truly inspiring. Kathleen’s willingness to support her students and her community, coupled with her family’s legacy of service, exemplifies the best qualities we value in our staff and community.”
