Congratulations to Katella HS Theatre on a great first show of 26-27! The fairy tales were fun, the cast was funny, and just about everyone got to die a wonderfully dramatic stage death! 🪦

Congratulations to the Kennedy Singers and Walker Junior High choirs on a fantastic Broadway show last Friday night. One big hit after another kept the crowd clapping and cheering the whole night. Great singing and stage performances from everyone! Kudos to choir director Jennifer Meregini for an outstanding first performance and hats off to the choreographers, live band, and all of the parent volunteers for all the hard work and coordination that went into this production.

Some 20 bands are selected each year for the 5.5-mile march east along Colorado Boulevard. This is a first for AHS, which is almost as old as the parade itself.

🎺 HISTORY IN THE MAKING! 🌹✨
Huge congratulations to the Anaheim High School Marching Band for earning a spot in the 2028 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade!

For the first time in the school’s 130-year history, our talented student musicians will march down Colorado Boulevard on New Year's Day. They also join an elite club as only the 4th AUHSD band to ever receive this honor, following Katella High (1974), Magnolia High (1983) and Cypress High (2015).

A massive shoutout and thank you to Band Directors Breysi Garcia and Julie Enciso for their leadership, dedication, and vision in guiding these incredible students to the national stage.

We could not be prouder of our Colonists! Drop a 💙/💛 in the comments to congratulate the students and directors!

Back to School Nights were fantastic last night at Ball JHS and Walker JHS! At Ball, we had the amazing debut performance of our districtwide Junior High Mariachi program. The choir and jazz bands were also great and Mr. Belski even got a chance to play some trombone! At Walker, we saw the ribbon cutting of the new Korean Dual Language Immersion program as well as full house turnouts from our art, band, photography, and choir parents!

We are heartbroken to share that 3rd grader Lily Massey is in critical condition following a tragic car accident on Friday night that took the life of her father, Joe Massey. Having lost her mother, Heather Massey (former AUHSD band director at Walker Junior High), to cancer just last year, Lily now faces a long road to recovery supported by her grandparents, who are traveling from Texas to care for her.

Please consider donating to help cover the extensive family travel costs, medical expenses, and Lily’s future support: https://givebutter.com/lilymassey

Every donation and share helps immensely. Please keep Lily and her family in your thoughts. 💙
