🧠Long COVID can affect nearly every organ system—but its neurological symptoms are often among the most frequent, disabling, and difficult to recognize.
Aasheeta Bawa is a physician associate in Northwestern’s Neuro-Infectious Diseases clinic, where she cares primarily for patients experiencing neurological manifestations of Long COVID. Her background includes inpatient neurology, general neurology, and neuro-interventional radiology. She has also co-authored several publications and is pursuing an MPH in Epidemiology to bring a broader population-health perspective to her work.
At the 2026 IAPA Fall CME Conference, Aasheeta will provide practical guidance on the epidemiology, clinical manifestations, evaluation, and management of Long COVID. Attendees will leave better prepared to recognize this complex condition, exclude alternative diagnoses, and provide informed, validating care to patients who often face dismissal, stigma, and barriers to specialized treatment.
