Illusion Stables had its first summer camp last week and it was AMAZING!!
We couldn't have asked for a better group of girls for our trial run. They were so much fun, so csring and understanding of the horses and that this was also the horses first time doing this. They got to ride, do arts and crafts and learn different things about horses. They ended the week with a show for the parents where they got to decorate the horses, pick music and work together on routines. We had a fun sleepover night with movies, pizza and ice cream. I think we might just do it again next year 😊
Thank you to everyone that made this possible. A lot of work when in to this a head of time and it paid off. The camp ran smoothly and we just got to enjoy it a long side the girls. I'm still finding glitter everywhere and I wouldnt want it any other way 💜

Illusion stables has been a busy place lately which is amazing but means I have not kept up with posting. We welcomed a new boarder Easton and he has fit right in with the other horses. Then we also have a first for Illusion Stables a wild mustang that one of our very talented boarders is training. Haiku has been amazing since day one. She is sweet and loves scratches and has taken everything in stride.
This Saturday we are having another work day here that any one is welcome to join. It is from 9 to 1, we are fixing another outrun, fixing fencing, cleaning etc. All hands are welcome even if its just an hour.
I think thats all the updates, as usual lessons continue ans the day to day farm chores 😊

To say I am proud of these horses is an understatement. I have never asked these horses to work like this before and I could not have asked for better. When I say I have the best horses I truly mean it. We had a troop of 10 girl scouts come out today to earn their riding badge. Most had never been around a horse. They learned safety, parts of the horse, saddle and bridle. Then they paired up to groom and tack up. Then a group of 5 rode first and then traded out so the other 5 could ride. To my helpers (current lesson students barn girlies) thank you from the bottom of my heart today would not have been possible without your help. There was a lot of work before hand to make the place look nice and the event run smoothly and I am pleased to say it all paid off. Now I am going to go sleep for as long as I can. 🥰
