LCS art instructor Mrs. Meg Salazar has been recognized by BizWest Media publisher Jeff Nuttall as a nominee for the publication's 2026 Women of Distinction program.

"Your nomination reflects the meaningful impact you are making in our community," wrote Nuttall in a congratulatory message on July 28, 2026.

"In my experience—39 years in primary/secondary education—I have never observed a better instructor, school leader, and art-education leader whose impact is both statewide and national among her peers and professional practitioners. Liberty Common School is proud to celebrate a historic milestone.

Alumna Elizabeth Timpe has been installed as President of Liberty Common School's Board of Directors—the first graduate in the school's history to serve in this role and possibly one of the first charter school alumni in Colorado to lead the governing board of their own alma mater.

Elizabeth's journey with Liberty spans every stage of life: student, teacher, parent, and now Board President. Her story reflects the lasting impact of Liberty's mission and the enduring commitment of those it serves.

LCHS is seeking a host family for Dorsan from Belgium.

This outgoing and hardworking 16-year-old loves golfing, hiking, running, and exploring nature—and he’s excited to experience Colorado (including a baseball game).

His original host family can no longer host, and a new home is needed. Dorsan is already approved and eager to join LCHS for the 26/27 school year.

If you are interested in hosting, please contact Diana Campbell with the STS Foundation at [email protected].
