Specializing in high-level care, performance conditioning, and riding lessons. AKS Farms is a full service Equine facility specializing in training Arabian and Half-Arabian horses and riding instruction. We are conveniently located just off of HWY 5 and Fleur Dr. about two miles from the Des Moines International Airport. We compete at the local, regional, national and international level in the Sa

MAJOR congratulations to Francesca Wong and Lola Svec, your 2026 Iowa State Fair Junior and Senior Cowgirl Queens, BOTH aboard Shesa Dancing In Dirt+ (aka Baby)!!
They represented the Iowa Arabian Horse Association with beauty, grace, and a WHOLE lotta grit!
Their dedication and hard work paid off big time last night and we couldn’t be more proud!
Thank you to our incredible team for making sure the girls and Baby were prepped to perfection, and thank you to everyone who made it out to support and cheer them on!

Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 6:30pm with the Junior division.

The Iowa State Fair kicks off this week!
Come cheer on Francesca Wong and Lola Svec THIS FRIDAY in the Iowa State Fair Cowgirl Queen Contest! The girls are representing the Iowa Arabian Horse Association IaAHA in the Junior and Senior divisions, and are ready to put on a show!!
The event starts at 6:30pm in the Jacobsen Arena. Doors open at 6, so come stop by our stalls and we will all head over so we can cheer the girls on together! Knock ‘em dead, ladies!!!! 👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑
