This presentation highlights an innovative queen-rearing technique recognized by the American Beekeeping Federation’s Practical Beekeeping Award. Aaron Weber developed a simple, accessible system that converts capped swarm cells into bankable virgin queens using EZPZ Swarm Cells and mating nucs. The talk will cover the step-by-step process, equipment modifications, and how small-scale beekeepers can efficiently increase colony numbers, improve queen quality, and maintain readily available queens throughout the season.
