Our little Vermonters opened up shop! 🍁🥕🧡
To celebrate the culmination of our unit all about Vermont, our PreK friends hosted their very own Farmers Market—filled with creativity, hard work, imagination, and a whole lot of Vermont pride!
Our market featured vegetables harvested straight from our gardens, homemade art prints inspired by a Vermont artist, beaded jewelry crafted by little hands, and metal creations made with care and creativity. We even had homemade pancakes made from cardboard, nature, and maple syrup—because when you’re a preschooler, anything can become something delicious! 🥞😂
Our children also created signs to label their creations, giving them opportunities to practice early writing, communication, counting, and the many skills that come with running a little marketplace.
What we love most about this experience is that it brought together so much of what we value at SIL: children’s ideas, hands-on learning, creativity, nature, community, and the joy of making something with your own two hands.
A very special market for some very special little Vermonters. 💚🌲🍎
