Ofuakuor “Ofie” Ofuatey-Kodjoe
Chief Executive Officer
Before starting her own company, Ms. Ofuatey-Kodjoe enjoyed over 24 years experience in Management Consulting specializing in travel & tourism, hospitality, entertainment and strategic operations. Ofuatey-Kodjoe led such projects as BET’s first ever productions in Africa, which included the “Sunday’s Best Auditions” and “Chapter & Verse interviews” in Lagos Nigeria; and the “Almost Married” tapings in Accra, Ghana. She has also managed such projects as Romantic Nonsense, a theatre project which was presented in April 2009; and the Heritage Africa Show preparing to air on GTV. Ofuatey-Kodjoe has extensive production experience within the financial, legal, hospitality and entertainment sectors. During her tenure as Director at Black Entertainment Television (BET), she had oversight responsibility for procuring, planning and organizing the travel for production and event management for the organization. This included various special event productions including the BET Awards; the BET HIP HOP Awards; BET Celebration of Gospel; BET Spring Bling; Bobby Jones Gospel and various other on-air productions. Her duties included pre-production logistics execution, preparing pre-event and pre-production budgets, departmental budget management, corporate travel & expense management and policy enforcement and production event management. She has extensive experience in customer service management specializing in entertainment, hospitality and corporate travel sectors; and has a broad knowledge of multinational business operations having led projects and negotiations in Japan, Ghana, UK, the Netherlands, US, and Canada. Ofuatey-Kodjoe was born and partially raised in New York and then, lived her most formative years in Ghana, West Africa. Upon completing secondary school, she returned to the United States to attend the City University of New York, at Queens College where she received her Bachelor of Science in Political Science. She has developed an appreciation for the influences received from both cultures, which has fostered her commitment and desire to promote business excellence in all areas of industry.
