The Power of Good Thoughts, Well Wishes, God and The Universe!
I am so thankful to God and to all my Facebook friends who held me in their prayers and sent so much good will during my journey. Your energy and support made all the difference.

Four years ago, I was injured with two broken ankles and was unable to walk. I remember the way the doctors looked at me when I asked if I was going to walk again. After a long pause, one nurse said, “Yes, you will walk again.” That was the beginning of hope in my mind.
Now I realize that she did not know for certain, but she gave me something to hold on to. Looking back, she was one of many people I am thankful for. There were so many people who looked out for me—it is unbelievable. There were the doctors and hospital staff, the rehab team, and even the valet at the hospital, who became my friends. My family and friends jumped right in to help and be there for me right away.
I had three friends who came to carry me down the stairs every time I went to the doctor. My girlfriend of only four months—now my wife—moved in with me to help. My daughter came from Chicago to stay. A friend of my sister’s, who did not even know me, had a prayer group praying for me. My family and friendes and Facebook friends on my personal profile page shared so many well wishes and even predictions of me walking, running, and jumping.
I meditated and prayed often. I also watched nothing but uplifting shows and movies on TV, further convincing myself of a full and speedy recovery.
The doctors have been surprised by my recovery. At times, they have called in staff to say, “Come look—remember this guy? Can you believe how he is walking?” People I run into have been pleasantly amazed. I have even experienced healing that my surgeon said would not happen without additional surgery.
I not only walk well, but I dance and ride my bike often. And a month ago, I freaked out my wife and ran across the room—lol. I ran quite fast to show her a sight we once thought might never happen again, which was me running.
I owe all of this, what feels like a miracle, to God, the Universe, and all my well-wishers.
