Manufacturing Renaissance successfully completed a 6-week Summer Manufacturing Connect Training Program at West Leyden High School, serving 12 students. Throughout the program, participants engaged in work readiness and technical manufacturing training focused on workplace professionalism, manufacturing safety, precision measurement, and foundational machining skills. Students prepared for and earned NIMS industry-recognized credentials, strengthening their qualifications for future education and entry-level manufacturing careers.
To enhance classroom learning, students attended the Automate Industry Show, where they explored the latest advancements in robotics, automation, and advanced manufacturing while networking with industry professionals. Participants also gained valuable hands-on CNC machining experience, allowing them to apply technical concepts in a real manufacturing environment. By the end of the program, students had developed essential workplace skills, earned industry-recognized credentials, and gained meaningful exposure to career opportunities in today's advanced manufacturing industry.
