When the lights go out... the closet door slowly creaks open. 👀🌙

Strange sounds echo through the room. Shadows begin to move. Monsters emerge from the darkness, and fear takes over.

But sometimes the things we fear most aren't scary at all.

What begins as a night of terror soon transforms into something else. 💚✨💙

The Rockford Bands are proud to introduce their 2026 production: “Bump in the Night.”

🎹 Join the Rockford High School Jazz Band in performance with Guest Artist Xavier Davis (piano) on Saturday, May 16 at 7:00pm at Rockford High School (4100 Kroes St., Rockford, MI 49341). General admission at the door ($10 for adults; $5 for students/seniors).

MEET XAVIER DAVIS
Xavier Davis is an accomplished jazz pianist whose career took off after vocalist Betty Carter discovered him in 1994 and brought him to New York as her trio’s pianist. He has since performed and recorded with renowned artists including Freddie Hubbard, Wynton Marsalis, and Christian McBride, and has appeared on more than 60 albums, including McBride’s 2026 GRAMMY-winning Without Further Ado, Volume 1.

A dedicated educator, Davis has led master classes worldwide and comes from a family of music teachers. As a bandleader, he has released critically acclaimed albums Dance of Life and The Innocence of Youth. He is also an award-winning composer, arranger, and producer, recognized by organizations such as the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, and continues to contribute to jazz through performance, education, and music production.
