The sad truth is that the people who know this history, who lived this history, are passing, on a daily basis….and many of their stories of old Appalachia are being forever lost. We believe that these people and their stories deserve respect, and have value…tremendous value. These stories should be kept alive because although the world is far different today….the information in these stories should never be lost. Our children and their children’s children need to know from whence they came. They need to know their authentic Appalachian heritage…and not the one that is so often frequently and foolishly stereotyped in pop culture.
