With the excessive amount of AI images and videos I haven't felt much like posting lately.

Social media was supposed to be a fun way to share things going on in our lives and with our businesses but now it's a whole other job to keep up with if you want to be known, props to those that can do it because it takes a lot of time and dedication

I wasn't able to bring Beatrice with me because I didn't want her to melt, but man it would have been fun.

I'm in Texas for some work conferences and we got to last minute get tickets to go see Billy Bob Thornton and the Boxmasters.

Definitely a memorable trip!

"A swarm in July isn't worth a fly"

Or so they say.

This swarm. This specific swarm. Absolutely made my day.

It was a decent sized swarm that the homeowner really wanted gone, I was hesitant since I had to wait till I got off work did a bunch of errands and then drive the 30 minutes there. I thought for sure they would be gone or someone else would have told them 'I'm on my way I can do it right now'

But no one did, and they were still there when I got done with everything so I got in the Jeep and went on my merry way

This swarm wanted to call every bluff I had. Multiple times I thought for sure they were flying off without the queen (I had caught her fairly fast and immediately put in a clip) I couldn't for the life of me get the limb to budge and bop them out of the tree so Everytime I would scrape a clump off the main limb they would fall down and fly right back up then they took off towards a tractor made it look like we were inside TV static.

They eventually figured out what was up and meandered into the NUC box congregating slower & more chaotically than a hoard of kindergarteners

While waiting for the last bunch to figure out they had an eviction notice and I was there to take them to their new apartment. We started talking about all the tractors and trucks in the yard.

I wish I could have got a picture of the look on this guy's face when I saw my dream truck because I out loud said " well this is how I get kidnapped" 😂 and he goes nooo

Cory and I have been looking at trucks on marketplace for literally ever and I always told him when I found the truck that I needed I would know, there's been a ton that were good and even a few within our price range and okay enough but none that I just had to have. This truck however 😅 I'm pretty sure if I had a 5 gallon bucket that I carried around with me I could have filled it with drool.

The guy chuckled when I went to leave because I handed him my business card and said "if you ever want to get rid of the green truck I beg of you Please call me first" He said for the right price he could let it go. However, I am not Mr. Monopoly So I can't make any decent offers anytime soon 😭

This is the kinda stuff my husband sends me.

Cory sent me this once he sealed up the hives with screen. He decided to bring a frame of "wonkey comb" we had been snacking on to give them a "new target" and decided he needed one more spoon of honey. Looks like we are pulling double duty these next few cloudy days 😅.

July Edition of Bee Culture came with some fun surprises 😜

Someone I met at NAHBE this year and we became friends fast messaged me the other day that not one, not two, but THREE of her awesome photos were chosen to go in the magazine for it's patriotic special and I was so excited! I get to point at them and show all my bee friends, hey I know her! Kelly B

But then I open the mailbox today and flip through and see the photo I sent it was also put in the center group of pictures (I so badly want to say centerfold but it's a handful of pages away from true center 😂 )

Thennnn I go to take pictures to make this post and I realized that my photo was with 2 of Kelly's 😊 it's like they know we spent NAHBE hollering at each other "Hey Best Friend!"

When I saw this spider with its arms outstretched I instantly began singing Creed 😆

Yes we love our bees and they bring me an immense amount of joy but at the end of the day Cory and I are definitely just Entomology Nerds who love all the critters

When you've got family from Florida and Wisconsin both leaving soon and wanting to bring your honey home you snag a couple frames and do a quick tiny harvest
