Music scholarships are available to all who participate regardless of major.

This page features chamber orchestra, chamber ensembles, and solo performances of students under the direction of Dr. Richard Thomas (retired Professor of Music) during his tenure at Presbyterian College. The PC Chamber Orchestra is made up of student music majors, non-majors, and qualified pre-college students of the Laurens Academy of Music at Presbyterian College (LCAM).

With PC Chamber Orchestra 2020 graduates Paul, Jarvernique, DeMaine, and Harris after we met up for lunch at El Poblano in Clinton. They are all working full-time in music as administrators, teachers, and performers. Proud of them!

Congrats to orchestra teacher Kris Briggs (PC 2015), former PC Chamber Orchestra member!

March is Music in Our Schools Month, and Laurens County School District 55 is proud to celebrate A+ Arts and the outstanding accomplishments of our student musicians.

On March 10, the Laurens District 55 High School Honors Orchestra earned an Excellent rating at the Concert Performance Assessment while performing Grade 5 level music.

A big shoutout to Kristopher Briggs, Laurens District 55 High School Orchestra Teacher, for leading and inspiring these talented students. His dedication to music education continues to make a difference for our students and is key in Building a 5-Star Culture of Excellence in Laurens 55.

Congratulations to these talented musicians for representing Laurens 55 so well.
