Lately I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about pressure.
Not just the big life pressures, but the everyday kind.
The pressure to get everything done.
The pressure to keep everyone happy.
The pressure to perform.
The pressure to hold it all together.
What’s fascinating is that pressure doesn’t create our patterns... it exposes them.
Some of us become perfectionists.
Some become rescuers.
Some withdraw.
Some get defensive.
Some keep pushing until they’re exhausted.
The older I get, the more convinced I am that real growth isn’t about trying harder.
It’s about becoming aware of the patterns we’ve been running on autopilot.
Because once you can see a pattern, you have the power to change it.
What about you?
When life gets stressful, what’s your default pattern?
