A successful feeding journey isn’t only about what happens between a mother and her baby.

It can also be shaped by the people surrounding her.

The partner who brings the baby during a nighttime feeding.

The grandmother who encourages instead of questions.

The friend who checks in.

The provider who listens.

The lactation professional who helps her understand what’s happening instead of making her feel like she failed.

During Black Breastfeeding Week, we’re celebrating the community that surrounds Black families and recognizing that access to knowledgeable, culturally responsive support matters.

The 2026 theme, “We All We Got,” centers community, care, and collective power.

Who was part of your breastfeeding village? Tag them below and tell them thank you.

We know the 2am ones. “Is this normal?” “Am I doing this right?” “Why does no one talk about this part?” Questions that felt too small, too weird, or too late to ask — so they went unasked, and moms figured it out alone.

That’s not how this is supposed to work. We All We Got means you get to ask. All of it. No judgment, no rush, no pamphlet-and-a-goodbye.

Drop your “I wish someone had told me” question below — we’re answering all week. 🤎
