USSSA to Employ Automated Strike-Zone in 2020, Parents to Call Balls/Strikes from the Stands— The Dingerville Times MELBOURNE, FL--Following the trend of MLB and independent baseball leagues, USSSA has decided to employ its own form of an automated strike zone in its tournaments. The method of determining balls and strikes however will be astronomically more accurate than the technology being tested by the MLB.
