Meet Exec Monday! 🩵👏🏻
Meet Marie! She serves as our VP of Risk Management!
“Hey yall!! My name is Marie Bishop, and I’m in MC 24 from Ridgeland, MS! When I think about Pi Phi, I think about being chosen. I think about walking into a place that felt like home and finding people who loved me exactly as I was. College can be overwhelming at times, but Pi Phi has been the one thing that has stayed constant for me through all of it. The friendships I have made here are the kind that make hard days easier and good days even better!!
Serving as Vice President of Risk Management has changed me in so many ways. What started as a position became an opportunity to love people better, support my sisters, and step up for others in the same way older girls once stepped up for me. This role has taught me that leadership has very little to do with recognition and everything to do with how you show up for people when situations are difficult. Being able to encourage accountability while also making people feel cared for and supported has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my college career. I also could not do any of it without the incredible team beside me! They make the stressful moments manageable and constantly remind me why I love this chapter so much.
Before recruitment, I remember telling every active I talked to that all I wanted was to find my big sister and one day become that person for someone else. Pi Phi gave me exactly that. It gave me girls who encouraged me, guided me, and made me feel known, and it also gave me the chance to pour that same love into younger members. I have grown so much because of the women in this chapter, and I will forever be thankful for the way Pi Phi has shaped my college experience. Thank you Jesus for Pi Beta Phi!!!”
