Ole Miss Pi Kappa Phi Pi Kappa Phi was founded on the premise of creating leadership opportunities for our members. Those three men chose to start their own fraternity.

Our founders exemplified leadership in the classroom, on the athletic field, in campus politics and within the community. On a quiet December evening in 1904 in Charleston, S.C., three friends—Andrew Kroeg, Simon Fogarty and Harry Mixson—made a choice to lead. The three grew to seven; seven grew to eight; eight grew to 11. From the College of Charleston, they spread to nearby Presbyterian in 1907—and then to California in 1909. In just over four years, Pi Kappa Phi had become a truly national fraternity. Over the course of a century, a fraternity with humble beginnings has grown into a brotherhood of more than 120,000 strong. Pi Kappa Phi was rechartered at the University of Mississippi in 2014, returning after dissolving over seventy years earlier.

We are happy to announce our 2026-2027
Rose Queen as Juliana Hart, a Junior Early Education Major from Vancleave, Mississippi.

Hart, a member of Ole Miss Alpha Chi Omega, is thrilled to represent Alpha Lambda in our community, and to continue to foster the spirit of brotherhood in our fraternity.

Hi! I’m Juliana, and I’m so excited and honored to be Pi Kappa Phi’s Rose Queen this year. I’m really grateful to have been chosen to represent such a great group of men and support the chapter throughout the year. I’m especially looking forward to being involved with their philanthropy and supporting the work they do for their community. I’m thankful for this opportunity and excited for everything the year has in store!”
