Congratulations to the Mifflin County 15/16 year old JBR All Star team for finishing 3RD IN THE WORLD at the world series in Branson after defeating Europe today 11-7. Super proud of all players and coaches on a truly unforgettable season!

Haven Bridge Shuts Down MC Jr. Babe Ruth 13-16 Bats, Completes No Hitter Versus Hanford 13-16U

Haven Bridge didn't allow a single hit as MC Jr. Babe Ruth 13-16 defeated Hanford 13-16U 5-0 on Thursday at 4400 N 19th St. To get the final out, Bridge induced a fly out from Glessrner.

MC Jr. Babe Ruth 13-16 were the first to get on the board in the second when Maverick Smith hit into a double play, but one run scored.

MC Jr. Babe Ruth 13-16 added one run in the third after Colton Aumiller tripled to center field.

Thomas took the loss for Hanford 13-16U. The starting pitcher went three innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits, striking out none and walking one.

MC Jr. Babe Ruth 13-16 piled up 10 hits in the game. Landon Pecht led MC Jr. Babe Ruth 13-16 with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The outfielder went 2-for-2 on the day. Luke Shawver and Pecht each collected two hits for MC Jr. Babe Ruth 13-16.

Hanford 13-16U turned one double play in the game.

Just a reminder of our parent meeting tomorrow at the HS cafeteria at 6 pm to discuss fundraising activities at PSU. This is for incoming 9th-12th graders (JV & Varsity)

Attention Varsity and JV Huskies baseball parents: there will be a parent meeting on Tuesday August 4th at 6:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. We will be discussing the Penn State seat back fundraiser that we have done the past 3 years. Additionally we will be signing up for game dates. For those of you who may be new to this, it is super important that you attend. Here are the dates for the PSU Saturday home games for this fall so that you can plan ahead

September 5, 19, 26
October 10, 31
November 14, 21

We will need 10-15 seat sellers on these Saturdays, and we will also need 20+ people to pick up on the Sunday mornings following the game.

I am not going to take any sign-ups earlier than the meeting. You must be at the meeting to sign up. If for some reason you cannot attend the meeting, then I will send out to you any dates that need filled.
