Ascend - Penn State University Chapter

Ascend will have its last corporate event of the semester today, 10/31, from 7-8pm at 103 Business Building with Vanguard!
Vanguard is one of the largest mutual fund companies with over $5.3 trillion in assets. There will be Vanguard recruiters talking about more of the company information and internship/ full time opportunities on both corporate finance and investment management.
If you are interested, definitely come out, learn more about the investment management business and build your network!

Ascend Leadership Development Program provides opportunity to let members got exposure to basic leadership skill. You will have authority to direct an event in Ascend, input your opinion during leaderboard meetings,collaborate with your assigned teammates to nail case competition, etc. Through graduating from this program, you will grow in your ability to work in teams and build your leadership abilities.

The deadline to apply is September 25th 11:59pm

Reminder that tonight will be Ascend's late PD workshop of the semester! We will be talking about case competition in preparation about our upcoming Shark Tank Case Competition. Even if you are not interested in Shark Tank, it will be to your benefits to come because we will talk about some fundamental skills on preparing, analyzing and presenting for a case. The meeting will take place in 105 Business Building from 7-8pm. See you all there!

Ascend will have a GBM tonight at 7pm, 105 Business Building. We will be talking about future PD workshops, volunteering events and discussing the introduction of upcoming leaderboard applications and shark tank competition.
We will also have guest speakers from Leveraged Lion Capital (LLC) to talk about their experiences of doing finances in Wall Street. Come out and we'll see you there!

Ascend is hosting a PD workshop on mock interview on Wednesday from 6-7:30pm. This is a great opportunity for members who want to practice their interviewing skills for future internships/full time application. Eboards will be interviewing each member for 5 minutes and give on-site feedback to member's performance. Dress is causal.

Your interviewers will ask you a few behavioral questions, listen to your response, and offer feedback on your answers. These interviews will imitate the actual Ascend leaderboard/executive board interviews held at the end....
