It's test your knowledge Tuesday! 🧠

Did you know that our Talent Search program isn't just for students staring down college applications? Actually, it starts years earlier. 🚌 Many of the students who join our program each year are in middle school, and they're already touring campuses, meeting mentors, and asking "could this be me?" By the time they're filling out that first application, college or trade school doesn't feel like a stretch — it feels like the plan. That head start makes all the difference. 💛

Fact Friday!!!

Five years, three programs, and one incredible track record: every single Talent Search site has hit a 100% secondary school graduation rate for three years running.🎓 That's over 1,600 seniors who walked through our doors — and more than 500 who went on to earn a postsecondary credential. Every cap thrown, every diploma earned, every "I did it" — we've been honored to witness it all. Here's to the graduates who prove what's possible when a community believes in you. 💙

Did someone say TBT? Taking it back to 2021 Career-ready doesn't happen by accident. 💼 In workshops like this one, our Talent Search students dig into the real skills employers and colleges look for — technical skills, soft skills, adaptability, and more — long before they ever have to put them on a resume. It's activities like this that help explain why roughly 7 in 10 of our students take on a rigorous course load in high school: they're not just checking boxes, they're building the toolkit for whatever comes next.

Goggles on. Test tube in hand. Curiosity fully activated. 🔬 This is Cool Labs — one of our favorite McKeesport Talent Search traditions, where middle schoolers get hands-on with science years before they ever fill out a college application. Moments like this are exactly why early exposure matters: nearly 600 new students have joined our McKeesport program over the last 5 years, many of them starting right here, in middle school, discovering what they're capable of. 💜

The path to college looks different for every student—but the destination is the same: opportunity! Before a single application is filled out, before a single acceptance letter arrives — it starts with exposure. Over the last 5 years, more than 2,000 students each year across our Talent Search programs have stepped onto college campuses, sat in on workshops, and started picturing themselves as college students. 🎓 That early spark? It's the whole game! And with nearly 70% of our students going on to postsecondary enrollment, we're seeing it pay off, year after year.

Tah'Vaz is a proud graduate of Clairton High School and a Talent Search participant whose love for his city, his family, and the game of football has carried him further than even he imagined.

A multi-sport athlete his entire life — competing in football, basketball, baseball, and track — Tah'Vaz saved his best for last. On December 3rd, 2025, he helped lead the Clairton Bears to a state championship, one of the proudest moments in the program's recent history. Just days later, he committed on the spot to Penn West Edinboro University to play Division II football on a full scholarship — a moment that brought his entire journey full circle. Off the field, Tah'Vaz has a vision that goes far beyond the game — planning to major in Business or Communications, serve in the military, earn a PhD in Business, and one day launch his own company.

We are incredibly proud of Tah'Vaz's drive, his love for his community, and the champion mentality he carries into everything he does — on and off the field.

Aryanna is a proud graduate of Valley Junior-Senior High School and a Talent Search participant whose journey to college is a testament to patience, perseverance, and the power of never giving up.

After moving from Virginia to Pennsylvania in 10th grade and navigating one of the most challenging transitions a student can face, Aryanna finished her senior year with a 4.0 GPA, perfect attendance two years in a row, and the Darius Johnson Award — given to the track athlete who best embodies heart, spirit, and determination. She competed in the 300-meter hurdles for three years, running every race with asthma and never once quitting. This fall, she will attend Clarion University to study Fisheries and Wildlife Biology — a passion rooted in her love for water and marine life — with her sights set on becoming an aquarist.

We are incredibly proud of Aryanna's resilience, her big heart, and the positive spirit she has brought to everyone around her every single day.

Micah is a proud graduate of Newcastle Senior High School and a Talent Search participant since 9th grade — a young man whose accomplishments speak volumes, but whose humility speaks even louder.

After applying to 30 colleges and being accepted to all 30, Micah will this fall begin a 3-2 joint program between Washington & Jefferson College and Robert Morris University, majoring in Actuarial Science.

Along the way, he earned 1st place at the PJAS Regional and State competition and has been recognized with some remarkable honors including an Honorable Mention at Westminster College's Model United Nations Simulation, the $500 Dr. C. Leon Ahlum Rotary Servant Leader Scholarship, a Certificate of Completion at the Free Enterprise Leadership Challenge at Grove City, and a Certificate of Completion for the 2025 Harvard Undergraduate Ventures Tech Summer Program. Beyond academics, Micah has also been deeply involved in sports and extracurricular activities throughout his high school career.

We are incredibly proud of Micah's determination, his faith, and his unwavering belief that every path you take — even the hard ones — is making you exactly who you're supposed to be.

Princesse is a proud graduate of William Penn Senior High School and a Talent Search participant whose journey to college began with a leap of faith — from Haiti to York, Pennsylvania — and has never slowed down since.

Arriving in the United States in 2021 with French and Haitian Creole as her first two languages, Princesse refused to let anything stand between her and her goals. She maintained distinguished honor roll all four years, earned a spot on the Dean's List through HACC dual enrollment, served as Secretary of the National Honor Society, and dedicated four years to JROTC — all while becoming an unofficial Haitian ambassador for newly arrived students at William Penn. This fall, she will attend Cheyney University — the nation's first HBCU — on a full-ride Keystone Scholarship, where she will pursue a degree in Political Science or Criminal Justice with her sights set on Harvard or Yale Law School and a future as a corporate or criminal defense attorney.

We are incredibly proud of Princesse's resilience, her trilingual brilliance, and her unwavering belief that education is the one thing no one can ever take away from you.

Jayden is a proud graduate of Aliquippa Junior-Senior High School and a Talent Search participant whose work ethic, character, and quiet determination have set him apart in everything he does.

Graduating in the top 5 of his class, a member of National Honor Society since 7th grade, and on Distinguished Honor Roll since 2021, Jayden has consistently shown up for himself and for those around him. This fall, he will head to Penn State University to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering — a field that perfectly aligns with his strengths in math and science — with his sights set on a career with Shell and a future that makes his family proud. He will also be the first in his family to complete a college degree — a milestone he is quick to share credit for with every person who helped shape him along the way.

We are incredibly proud of Jayden's drive, his humility, and the kind of person he is both inside and outside of the classroom.
