We had a wonderful time engaging with PA educators and last week at the 2024 Integrated Learning Conference here ! We are excited to see how the industry grows in PA and now the connections we made can provide opportunities for students. 📚🦟🧬

The invasive, sap-sucking (Lycorma delicatula) causes serious damage to trees, crops, and other plants. First observed in Pennsylvania (2014), it is native to Asia and thought to have arrived as egg masses on a stone shipment in 2012. As a hitchhiking pest, it has now spread to 17 States.

Do lanternflies have Wolbachia? Could Wolbachia be used to mediate this pest populations? student curiosity is leading the way! 👩‍🔬🔎
