The College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) is pleased to announce an open competition for the Woskob International Research in Agriculture (WIRA) Scholar Program for the 2026–2027 academic year. This program is administered by Ag Sciences Global in the College of Agricultural Sciences and is supported by funding from the Woskob International Research in Agriculture (WIRA) Endowment.
The WIRA Scholar Program has been the flagship educational exchange initiative of the Woskob Endowment since 2008 and has supported the professional development of dozens of faculty members from Ukrainian institutions of higher education in agriculture, natural resources, and related fields.
The WIRA Scholar Program is a Faculty Development Program (FDP) designed to support new and promising Ukrainian faculty members through a 16-week, semester-long professional development experience at Penn State (late August–mid December 2026). Program participants engage in curriculum and course development, teaching methodology enhancement, and academic exchange with Penn State faculty, while contributing to long-term institutional collaboration and the post-war development and reconstruction of Ukraine.
